Q - How long is the West Highland Way?
A - 95miles long (152km)
Q - Is the walk difficult?
A - The terrain varies tremendously from a gentle start to sections that are quite arduous under foot.
Q - How fit do I need to be to complete the walk?
A - A good general fitness is required and you will benefit from a degree of regular practice walks to let your feet become accustomed to different terrain.
Q - What is the best time to walk?
A - During the busiest times (May & June) accommodation can be difficult to find, but if you start your walk mid-week this can alleviate this problem.
Q - Can I get my luggage carried?
A - All our Walking Packages include the transfer of one bag to be carried direct to all your accommodations, the maximum weight of this bag should be no more that 18kg.
Q - Why is the luggage allowance only 18kg?
A - The reason for the weight limit is – some of the accommodations can be cottages almost 200years old, therefore hand delivering heavy awkward luggage can lead to some difficulties for the owners.
Q - Which are the best parts of the walk?
A - Every part of the walk has something different we recommend the whole walk.
Q - Can I just walk part of the West Highland Way?
A - Some of our packages allow for parts of the walk to be completed in 3 days
